Every year around 1,000 passengers take a voyage with us on every sea of the world.
We met Marie-Thérèse and Gerard G, two travellers who told us about their experience onboard the CMA CGM FORT ST LOUIS.
Why did you choose Cargo cruise instead of a regular cruise?
We wanted to travel for a period of two months in West Indies and we had time for a longer voyage. We thought about cargo cruise for a long time and it sounded like a good choice for us.
We wanted to travel from Le Havre-Pointe à Pitre and leave on the 25th of December. We boarded on the 24th in Rouen and then enjoyed a beautiful voyage along the Seine, mostly by night.
We were welcomed in a very professional way, and we enjoyed some very interesting moments, such as discovering more about the maritime and containership universe. The exchanges with the crew were very interesting.
We are really satisfied with our first Cargo cruise experience with CMA CGM
How was your arrival onboard?
We were welcomed by the crew and escorted to our cabin. After that, we had a security briefing and lunch. We then meet the voyage’s other passengers, a couple and a young woman who wanted to enjoy an adventure.
Tell us more about the crossing
Life onboard was really pleasant, and the crew was very nice. The cabins were comfortable and included amenities such as a DVD player.
We spent a lot of time on the on the gangway where the ship’s officers were always ready to give us information, which allowed us learn a lot about the voyage.
What is your best memory?
Leaving winter to arrive in West Indies. This feeling between space and time in the ocean, with the sea all around us.
Would you recommend it?
Yes certainly. We are already thinking about another voyage to cross the Panama Canal or Suez.
