Pauline A. was born in New York State and lived most of her life in America. She moved to France in 2007 and joined CMA CGM the Transpacific North American Lines in 2008. Her current position is Commercial Line Manager US & Canada Export for the Transpacific North America Lines.
“My extensive prior experience in international logistics enhances my perspective to see all sides of my job and provides a basis to affect satisfactory and profitable solutions for our clients,” she says.
How did she adapt to her new life in France? “Life in France is clearly quite different from that in America but I now live in Arles, a small Provencal village, where the atmosphere oddly resembles the calmer times of my youth, in New York.”
How does she feel about the arrival of the CMA CGM BENJAMIN FRANKLIN in the U.S. within the next few days? “I am involved with the departure of this vessel from the United States. It is stimulating, it requires a lot of preparation and yet, it is times such as these that bring out the very best in people; and everyone have really done an amazing job.”
She concludes, “I have had the pleasure of being a part of this dynamic transpacific team, and watched our growth over the past 8 years. It is inspiring.”
