CMA CGM JULES VERNE : Inauguration in Marseilles
A 400m giant of the seas moored in Marseille port, an inauguration attended by French President François Hollande, a guard of honour with cadets from the naval academy, Ecole Nationale Supérieure Maritime, the national anthem sung by an opera singer, and all this in front of an audience of 600 specially invited guests.
….Tuesday 4 June in Marseille: the inauguration of the CMA CGM JULES VERNE was a truly memorable event. To celebrate the entry into its fleet of the world’s largest containership, which is also flying the French flag, the Group organised a ceremony that was as impressive as the vessel’s dimensions.
