The EMA is an innovative hospital structure, created by the Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Marseille. EMA’s mission is to welcome and care for suffering teens and young adults (cancer, anorexia, diabetes or depression) aged 11 to 25.
The CMA CGM Corporate Foundation for Children, one of the main private partners of this association, has financed the development and equipment of a cultural space, which is an integral part of the project. The platform of more than 700 m² is a combination of several fully equipped rooms: library, music room, gym, dance hall, arts room.
“From the start of the project, the Foundation was loyal to us in developing the space at the heart of EMA’s mission: the cultural care. Everything is done to stimulate creativity, be more open to the world, regain vitality, and channel the energy towards others. The cultural care space helps maintain this hospital in the city and in life. » says Professor Marcel Rufo, founder of the Espace Méditerranéen de l’Adolescence.
