The CMA CGM Group’s owned vessel fleet is ISO 14001 certified recognizing our focused efforts over many years. ISO 14001 sets out the international standard criteria for an environmental management system.
Certification involves setting up a system that contributes to the protection of the environment, to tackle pollution and to improve energy efficiency. The standard is based on continual measurement and improvement and allows companies to formulate long term and sustainable environmental programs. Usual practices such as waste management, energy consumption, etc. are taken into account, as well as the environmental impact of the company’s activities. Once attributed, yearly audits are undertaken ensuring conformity of actions, according to latest regulations. Corrective measures can then be implemented as necessary.
CMA CGM continuously explores and develops innovative solutions to fight climate change and protect our oceans. It offers its clients pioneering transportation solutions that are respectful of the environment.
